Caisses in North America are descended from Francois Caisse dit
L’dragon and Louise Sauvage. They were married in Trois Rivieres in 1740, while
Francois was employed at the Forge of St. Maurice, as a "Maitre de Charron". The
dit name "L’Dragon" may very well have come from his fiery attitude. |

We have been able to obtain a copy of the original Certificate of marriage for Francois Caisse Dit L'Dragon
and Louise Sauvage. |
